The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. The Executive Manager of Innovation (EM) spearheads the Research and Evidence Development team, oversees business development, and leads Client Services project and initiative teams. This role ensures VACCA designs, implements, evaluates, and continually improves its programs and services, maintaining a keen focus on cultural awareness, trauma-informed care, and self-determination. The ultimate goal is to achieve meaningful outcomes for the Aboriginal communities we serve.
The EM is responsible for building a robust Aboriginal evidence base for our programs and practices. This is achieved through the implementation of VACCA’s Cultural Therapeutic Ways, Outcomes Framework, and comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation Framework across all client services programs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to VACCA's vision and values, strong leadership skills and an appreciation for Aboriginal cultures. They will possess expertise in research and evaluation methodologies and senior leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams within a community service or Aboriginal organisation.
The candidate should have effective organisational abilities and experience in change management processes, knowledge of VACCA’s programs and practices, and the ability to achieve program objectives. They will work collaboratively with senior leaders, staff, and stakeholders, possessing excellent communication skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
