The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. About the role

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the operational leadership, direction and support to VACCA staff employed within a combination of Care Services programs to ensure programs are coordinated and managed to support the best possible platform for the delivery of effective, quality, and timely responses.

About You

  • Demonstrated knowledge and relevant experience in the delivery of statutory out of home care services, aligned early years, youth programs including therapeutic approaches required to bring about better outcomes for at risk and vulnerable Aboriginal children and families.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Aboriginal organisations and workers, and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities including experience in successfully developing, managing, and motivating large teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in program implementation, service planning and delivery, including monitoring, evaluation and maintenance of applicable standards and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Tertiary qualifications in the field of social work, psychology or community services.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the child, youth and families’ sector in a leadership capacity.
  • Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
