About the role

The Senior Project Officer will lead VACCA’s efforts to embed culturally appropriate knowledge translation within the Research and Evidence Development (RED) team. They will develop tools and strategies to apply research findings in practice, implement a knowledge translation work plan, and share VACCA’s internal and external research through journal articles and conferences. The role involves a participatory approach to project design, management, and delivery while supporting the RED team in various projects.

About You

The Senior Project Officer will lead the development of culturally informed tools and processes for VACCA’s research and evaluation knowledge translation. They will create and implement a work plan to translate research into practice, produce evidence summaries, journal articles, webinars, and other resources, and ensure Indigenous Data Sovereignty and leadership principles are embedded in all activities. The role includes identifying relevant conferences, managing the RED team’s intranet, and collaborating with VACCA teams to implement knowledge translation. They will also mentor Project Officers and represent VACCA in external meetings.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field, plus experience in translation of research or evaluation into practice
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
