The Foster Care Recruitment program is centralised at Preston VACCA with assessment workers based in North (Preston), East (Chrinside Park), South (Frankston and Gippsland), West (Werribee) and Ovens Murray (Wangaratta). The Program is responsible for the recruitment, training and assessment of all potential Foster Carers for VACCA. The program uses a comprehensive assessment tool which follows the Department of Health and Human Services compliance processes and procedures.
The principal role of the Team Leader is to support the day to day management of the Foster Care Recruitment program and to guide, supervise and support assessment workers in the delivery of the service. In addition, the Team leader has a key role in providing culturally safe support, guidance and mentoring to assessment workers in the program
