VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.
We have 33 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 65,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. The purpose of this role is to facilitate and deliver Aboriginal Cultural Safety training sessions, assist in the development of learning materials and resources as well as contributing, and delivering, VACCHOs Cultural Safety Accreditation Program Audits and other deliverables as required.
As a Cultural Safety Facilitator and Auditor, you will be required to consistently educate others on the importance of cultural safety, review and assess cultural safety practice across a variety of organisations, demonstrate culturally safe practice at all times and work collaboratively across the Cultural Safety Services Team, Social & Emotional Wellbeing Unit and VACCHO.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Certificate IV in Training and Education as well as experience in the co-ordination and facilitation that meets participation and organisational needs.
