About the opportunity

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist with an interest in Assistive Technology looking to make a meaningful impact? Join our dynamic transdisciplinary team, where you'll be guided by experienced allied health professionals. Whether you're a new graduate eager to kickstart your career or an experienced OT looking for a fulfilling role, you'll support individuals of all ages, helping them enhance their quality of life and empowering them to live on their own terms.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide both individual and group OT training/intervention programs
  • Showcase your ability to deliver and evaluate clients through various interactive and digital assessments
  • Assess and train clients in the use of assistive devices and equipment to do everyday activities, such as cooking, cleaning, showering etc.
  • Provide/advise on low-vision techniques and strategies to improve their occupational performance on daily activities and improve quality of life

About you

To be successful in this role you must hold a nationally recognised Qualification in Occupational Therapy (or be in your last year completing your degree and a current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will also have:

  • Knowledge and skills in working with children, adults, and older adults
  • Be a team player who is passionate in supporting people to live life on their terms and build on their independence
  • Enthusiastic to provide exceptional client services to people of all ages that are blind or low vision
  • Being proactive and showing creativity is strongly encouraged
