Be a part of changing the way we work at Victoria Legal Aid. We are looking for an experienced Change Manager to join our team and drive the delivery of our major and minor capital works plans, embedding new ways of working into the organisation, and optimising the hybrid use of our built environment.

  • Full-time, maximum term position up to 2 years
  • Salary range: $123,625 - $157,340 (plus super, plus salary packaging
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role

Working as part of Built Environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the team meets its strategic objectives by driving the delivery of our major and minor capital works plans, embedding new ways of working into the organisation, and optimising the hybrid use of our built environment.

You will be responsible for formulating and designing change management plans, enabling change readiness, managing stakeholder engagement plans, identifying and resolving barriers to adoption, and developing and executing change communications.

You will coach managers on managing and implementing change, building staff and stakeholder resilience and driving staff adoption of new ways of working during design development through to site occupation.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of change management principles, methodologies and tools, particularly in relation to built environment programs of work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders that demonstrate respect and understanding of social and cultural differences.
  • A proven track record working in major capital and minor work projects, ideally within a program-based environment, with an understanding of user experience and human centred design.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Formal change management certification and tertiary qualification in behavioural science, change management or related field are highly desirable, but not mandatory for this role.
