An opportunity for one (1) x Occupational Health & Safety Consultant (Psychosocial) to be part of our Health and Wellbeing Hub for the Western Region Hub located in Geelong.
The Health and Wellbeing Hubs is the single most significant investment in the health, safety, and wellbeing of Victoria Police employees to prevent and respond to work related injuries. Six multi-disciplinary teams, based in hubs across the state are being established, enhancing employee's mental health, injury prevention, early intervention, and recovery support. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to support Victoria Police employees.
Reporting to the Hub Manager, the Occupational Health and Safety Consultant (Psychosocial) will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team providing occupational health and safety advice to Victoria Police employees and management with a particular focus on psychosocial risks and hazards. The position will be responsible for partnering with managers to assist them in meeting their obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 through a coaching and capability development model. This may involve assisting managers to identify psychosocial hazards in their work areas, prepare prevention plans, conduct quality investigations to hazards and incidents, and monitor and review risk controls.
