Victoria Park Youth Accommodation (VPYA) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides holistic support and transitional accommodation for young people (aged 15-25 and their children) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and supported environment that enables our clients to develop the skills needed to live independently in the community.
VPYA manages eighteen properties and delivers to clients across the Town of Victoria Park, City of Canning, and the City of Belmont. Through a case management approach, staff offer personalised support to help clients stablise their situations, take responsibility for their living arrangements, develop the skills to access long-term accommodation, and achieve their goals. It is not uncommon for our clients to have young children in their care. Participants in the case management approach is a condition of entry to the program.
Many of our clients have experienced complexities relating to homelessness, trauma, neglect,, violence, sexual abuse, economic and social disadvantage, which often implicates their life’s journey.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Community Service Worker (CSW). The CSW provides support to clients who have experienced, or are experiencing homelessness and other health, personal and social challenges to achieve safe, stable and secure housing.
The CSW also helps clients to overcome difficulties they may be experiencing in keeping a home. This would include ensuring they are effectively linked with other mainstream services addressing various issues, including health, financial support, education, employment, and social integration.
If you require further information contact Peter Donovan, Manager VPYA on 08 - 9361 4118.
