About the Job

Vasey RSL Care has a new opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join our friendly Finance and Corporate Services team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, key responsibilities of this role include, but not limited to:

• Preparing financial reports and statements for key stakeholders.
• Supporting internal auditing.
• Preparing financial modelling and financial risk assessments of projects.
• Providing knowledgeable and well-researched responses to finance-related queries.
• Work as part of a team for the annual preparation of operations budgets.
• Prepare financial reports for Vasey RSL Care Board.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will be a professional, empathetic and customer focused professional who takes pride in your work and representing Vasey RSL Care.

In addition to your previous experience as an accountant, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in an accounting or related field.
• Intermediate computer literacy with experience using accounting software packages.
• Strong numerical literacy.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant Aged Care Legislations and specific industry standards.
• Demonstrated high level of skill in verbal and written communication, report preparation, letter writing and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Demonstrated organisation, time management and multi-tasking skills
• High level of initiative and ability to manage and co-ordinate projects autonomously with limited supervision.

Remuneration

This role has a base salary of $77,064 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and the added benefit of salary packaging.
