Are you a Volunteer Manager looking to work in an exciting environment with a passionate child and young person-centred team? We have a permanent position either four days or full time available at Very Special Kids in Malvern. Our Volunteer Manager will join the dedicated volunteer services team that lead more than 600 active volunteers.

About Very Special Kids:

At Very Special Kids, we believe that all children and young people have the right to a quality of life, no matter how long or short their life may be. We are a highly respected organisation with circa 100 employees and over 600 volunteers who provide essential, free-of-charge, palliative care services for children and young people living with a life-limiting condition. Very Special Kids provides specialist services for the whole family, including counselling, peer support, bereavement support and respite and end of life care at Victoria’s only hospice for children and young people.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Volunteer Manager to join the Volunteer Services team in setting strategic direction, priorities and leadership to the volunteer program. You will be responsible for promoting meaningful experiences and opportunities for our volunteers who support our operations.

About you

To be successful you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in volunteer management, community service delivery, disability or other relevant fields. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the scope of volunteer services within a healthcare community and or not for profit setting and palliative care. You will have demonstrated effective managerial and organisational skills to set strategic direction for the team to achieve the objectives outlined in the strategy.,
