The Western Australian Council of Social Service Inc (WACOSS) is the peak body of community service organisations and individuals in Western Australia. WACOSS stands for an inclusive, just and equitable society. We advocate for social change to improve the wellbeing of West Australians and to strengthen the community sector service that supports them. WACOSS is part of a national network comprising ACOSS and the State and Territory Councils of Social Service, which represent the interests of low income and socially disadvantaged people across Australia, and assists and supports the community sector with the delivery of community services.

The WA Digital Inclusion Project has been established to support the digital skill, knowledge and capability needs of front-line community service workers and digitally excluded individuals. The project is currently implementing seven innovative initiatives across the key areas of ability, access, and affordability, to increase digital inclusion so that everyone can fully participate in a society experiencing rapid digital transformation in every aspect of work, learning, and life, and gain significant social and economic benefits.

The Senior Training and Project Officer – WA Digital Inclusion Project will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of training approaches and content to diverse audiences including front-line community service workers and digitally excluded individuals. This role will also identify opportunities to assess training needs, identify best practice, and implement a range of innovative approaches, including coordinating outsourcing of specific training activities where needed.

This full-time role provides extensive opportunities to engage with partner organisations and sector stakeholders in the implementation of innovative initiatives that will build and sustain capability, and support people to be digitally included.
