Position:
- Type: Part-time (3 days per week, flexible, with availability required on Fridays)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a volunteer database for daily operations and events.
- Source, interview, and manage background checks for volunteers (NDISWC, WWCC).
- Induct and train volunteers, including orientation and ongoing programs.
- Manage volunteer records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Act as the main contact for volunteers, offering support and guidance.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote volunteer opportunities and create materials.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong teamwork and ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate volunteer preferences.
- Proactive, self-driven, and passionate about volunteerism.
- Current driver's license and access to a car.
- Current or willing to obtain WWCC and NDISWC.
