Volunteer Coordinator (Paid Position)

Position:

  • Type: Part-time (3 days per week, flexible, with availability required on Fridays)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a volunteer database for daily operations and events.
  • Source, interview, and manage background checks for volunteers (NDISWC, WWCC).
  • Induct and train volunteers, including orientation and ongoing programs.
  • Manage volunteer records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Act as the main contact for volunteers, offering support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote volunteer opportunities and create materials.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong teamwork and ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate volunteer preferences.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and passionate about volunteerism.
  • Current driver's license and access to a car.
  • Current or willing to obtain WWCC and NDISWC.
