In addition the WOCHP will ensure meaningful participation for four residents in newly built, self contained units, with the aim of maximising staff-client engagement that speaks to strengths to maintain Aboriginal communities and cultural ties.
As the service delivery response worker, the Mentor and Recovery Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in the operational excellence of the program, overseeing daily operations, monitoring team, progress and strategies. You will be responsible for developing tailored workshops in collaboration with Executive Officer as well as engaging and managing strong partnerships with external key stakeholders while completing compliance reporting as required.
This includes embracing tenants’ rights and responsibilities and managing duty of care obligations between tenants, staff, family and facility visitors.
The role of the Mentor and Recovery Support Coordinator is not just about individual client support but also intake, assessing suitability and maintaining and administering the waitlist for clients who are suitable for future vacancies.
Additional foster and cultivate community relationships that support participants recovery needs, supervising staff with coordinated access to training and professional developments, scheduling participant movements, oversee planned visitors to facility, monitor workplace health and safety, organize meetings and stay up to date with current legislation and standards of practice.
In addition, access and ideally proven respect of Elders to enable the coordination of cultural ceremonies, and improve program needs in consultation with participants, stakeholders, elders, executives, support workers and volunteers.
The Mentor and Recovery Support Coordinator will report to the Executive Officer and foster a sense of connection and engagement within the program based on respect and significant knowledge shared.
