About the Role:

Are you passionate about working within a purpose driven organisation and bring your expertise to positively impact business operations? Due to ongoing growth we are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team in this newly created role.

This role will be responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and make optimal use of the company's production capacity. This role requires coordinating with multiple departments—Procurement, Production, Sales, and Warehouse—to ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and overall efficiency in our production process.

Some of the key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in customer orders, materials availability, or production delays.
  • Analyse and assess production capacity to ensure that resources are utilised efficiently. Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve production flow.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Sales and Warehouse teams to ensure alignment on production schedules and priorities. Facilitate communication between departments to resolve any issues that may impact production timelines.
  • Use data analytics to forecast capacity requirements, track production performance, and identify trends. Provide regular reports on production status, and other key metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in production planning. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production performance.

Our Ideal Candidate:

The Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in production planning, supply chain management, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., Business Central, SAP, or similar ERP systems). Strong knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Desired:

  • Experience in implementing or managing Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus..
  • Genuine passion for supporting people living with disabilities in a supported employment environment.
  • Experience working for a charity or community-based organisation.
