About this Position

Wayside is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the Senior Clinical Practice Manager. Reporting to the Head of Programs, you will be a crucial member of the Program’s senior management team, responsible for ensuring high quality, impactful and trauma-informed care is delivered across Care Coordination teams, the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Women’s Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations, programs and clinical services across Care Coordination teams, Women’s Services and the Aboriginal Cultural Centre (ACC), including workforce planning, case mix, referrals, and clinical procedures and guidelines
• Provide high-level clinical expertise and advice to Program teams and ensure care coordination services are offered to visitors according to professional standards, legislative requirements, and evidence-based practices
• Monitor and evaluate service delivery processes and outcomes to ensure impact, program effectiveness and viability
• Provide expert people management to ensure the workforce meets service requirements and collaborate with the Senior Community Services Manager to implement training initiatives for Program staff
• Provide leadership to the clinical teams that promotes a trauma-informed, person-centred approach and models appropriate behaviour, reflective practice, and positive change management
• Develop and maintain risk registers and foster a robust risk-aware culture across the clinical teams
• Manage budgets and ensure service delivery meets budgetary constraints, funding guidelines and organisational procedures
• Promote a safety culture and ensure the safety and psychosocial wellbeing of staff, volunteers and visitors
• Represent Wayside externally, including in forums, networks and regulatory bodies as needed.

• Stepping into an environment that stands outside of the standard service delivery model and integrating that with our mission and vision with the tension that entails
• Managing organisational change by providing expertise, guidance and direction to staff and uniting teams across different visitor groups and sites to create opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Managing competing clinical, operational and strategic responsibilities in a complex visitor care environment.

About you

• Social Work degree or clinical degree, with eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or equivalent clinical membership
• Extensive experience in a similar clinical and management role
• Proven experience in providing clinical guidance and expertise in a complex service delivery environment
• Proven ability to develop, implement and evaluate service delivery, incorporating continuous improvement and developing policies and guidelines
• Experience leading teams, supervising staff and encouraging a culture of continuous-improvement, risk awareness and commitment to wellbeing
• Commitment to trauma-informed care, reflective and evidence-based practices
• Proven organisational and time management skills with experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration
• Strong ability to build rapport, negotiate, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
