We deliver funded services and programs across the Southern Melbourne Area including the local government areas of Greater Dandenong, Frankston, Casey and Cardinia.

About the role

wayss are looking for an experienced Team Leader to lead the Case Management team of workers in the Accommodation options for Families and Women’s outreach Programs. The Team Leader will lead the teams in delivering best practice services to households receiving case managed support, including those who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The Team Leader will oversee daily operations, drive continuous improvement through team management and procedural enhancements as well as ensure compliance for the day-to-day operations and managing all aspects of client work delivered by the team.

Duties include:

  • Leading and supporting the day-to-day operations of programs and service staff in line with operational guidelines, service specifications and targets, relevant risk and assessment tools, frameworks, policies and legislation.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for any challenges within the team and ensure that resources are managed efficiently.
  • Building the capability of team members, supporting their performance and the development of practice skills through coaching and supervision
  • Providing specialist housing knowledge and expertise relevant to the delivery of services by the team.
  • Ensuring all targets, KPI’s and program deliverables are met
  • Provide reports as required
  • Lead and contribute to continuous quality improvement
  • Support and champion Rainbow Tick and Human Service Standards

About you

You will have:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other relevant discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the homelessness service system service system including an understanding of the drivers of homelessness and the impact of the experience upon the lives of individuals and accompanying children
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development of worker practice through coaching and supervision
  • Demonstrated experience in building positive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders that contribute to high quality service provision for clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under limited direction
  • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous quality improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

This role requires a current Driver’s Licence and valid ‘Employment’ category - Working with Children Check clearance. The candidate will need to have successfully completed wayss pre-employment screening, a police check and identity check.
