Make a difference in the lives of women and children escaping domestic and family violence and homelessness in the Parramatta and Cumberland LGA. The Parramatta Women’s Shelter is a not-for-profit charity established to provide crisis accommodation for women and children. It is part of the Women’s Community Shelter Network. This role provides an opportunity to join a small team committed to driving social change.
Location: Parramatta and Cumberland LGA
Work type: Part-Time, 21 hours per week – initially on a 12-month maximum term contract, with a view to the position evolving and the maximum term being extended
Reporting to: The Board
Salary type: Competitive salary plus superannuation
Award Classification: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010(SCHADS)
Social and Community Services Employee - Level 6, Pay point 1.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR THE ROLE
- Appropriate skills in business management, IT and other relevant business support skills with experience working in for-purpose organisations providing business support functions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective business management systems and processes to achieve and maintain shelter compliance
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Experience and success in fundraising, events management and grants writing.
- Experience in social media management and website content management
- Commitment to work within a social justice framework with a sensitivity to cross-cultural issues.
