Wellways are excited to offer the position of Support Worker, this role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting our participants with daily activities.
In this role you will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising. This role requires you will work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.
Support Workers are the front line of our Consumer Directed Services programs, providing consumers with the personalised support to assist our participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Your varied day may include providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management. An essential element of your role is that you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.
You're a passionate, empathetic, and caring individual who is looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others. You relish a challenge and new experience. You're calm, collected and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team.
Our successful candidate preferably will be someone with flexible availability (highly desirable) and a commitment to providing a reliable and person-centered support to our participants.
