About the opportunity

Are you looking for a rewarding career that aims to help others access support and achieve their goals?

As our new Support Coordinator, your main focus will be to work alongside and support people in our community who are living with a disability. You will partner with service participants with a focus on offering capacity building support; specifically to assist in strengthening a participant's ability to design, manage, and ultimately control their supports, recognising each person's inherent ability to exercise choice and control.

This is a role in which you will be helping participants develop relationships, build skills and establish support networks in line with their own goals to ensure they are fully supported and empowered on their journey towards recovery.

About the program

Consumer Directed Services (CDS) refers to services which are led by and funded by individual consumers. This includes services such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services, iCare, Insurances and brokers. These services provide support, care and access to services and technology for Australians living with disabilities as well as their families and carers.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate IV in preferred course, or above
  • Demonstrated experience in working with people living with a disability or mental health
  • Available to participate in out of hours activities, as required, to deliver on key role requirements and outcomes
  • The right to work in Australia and a current, valid Driver's License
  • Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check (Employee) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
