About the role:

The Marketing Automation Specialist oversees the delivery of our digital channel experiences to both current and potential customers. This role acts as the marketing expert for various platforms integral to the lifecycle of digital campaigns. Responsibilities include managing CRM, email, and SMS platforms, as well as directories, optimisation tools, data analysis tools, and other specified products as required.

  • Stay informed on legal requirements and industry best practices for digital communication, marketing, fundraising, and privacy to ensure compliance and optimal campaign performance.
  • Develop personalised marketing automation and dynamic customer journeys using customer insights across email, social media, and website channels to drive acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, analyse campaign performance, and continuously improve campaigns through data mining and trend analysis.
  • Manage CRM data, segmentation, and target list hygiene for optimal engagement and contribute to multi-touch attribution model development.
  • Optimise email templates, subject lines, and content to improve engagement metrics for nurture campaigns.
  • Serve as marketing data steward, leveraging data for business and customer outcomes while ensuring compliance with data regulations.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in marketing automation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain a transparent campaign calendar.
  • Provide analytics and insights to demonstrate campaign outcomes and monitor quality and compliance.
  • Configure systems and data flows to support organisational strategy.

About you:

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Demonstrable expertise in overseeing digital campaigns within a sizable organisation.
  • Proficiency in extracting and analysing data to drive targeted direct marketing, email, and SMS campaigns, effectively supporting various service areas.
  • Proven track record in mapping comprehensive customer journeys and leveraging CRM tools.
  • Strong planning and organising skills including effective time management and ability to prioritise.

Desirable:

  • Skills and experience in using Asana or a similar tool to manage campaigns.
  • History of proactive self-education, attendance at innovation and industry events and genuine interest in innovation.
  • Recent, practical experience in delivering personalisation and automation using AI or other new and emerging technologies.
