About the role

This is a 12 month fixed term role.

The purpose of this role is to support the Transformation and Business Intelligence Solutions teams to transition cohealth into a data driven organisation which delivers the best outcomes for clients and is able to demonstrate the outcomes of the work we do. The organisation has set an ambitious target of 95% of our programs reporting outcome measures by July 2022. This role will work within cohealth's established Theory of Change and Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to support the organisation and programs to identify appropriate measures and understand outcomes with the purpose of sharing these findings as we start to learn from available data.

Your daily duties will vary but will include:

  • Work with programs to identify quantitative measures and data sources that will enable them to demonstrate intended outcomes as defined by the program's theory of change
  • Extract, transform and manipulate data that is fit for the purposes of analysis via Excel or SAS (or equivalent tools)
  • Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations to the program
  • Provide advice and support to programs to guide the implementation of strategies that will improve the quality of data being collected and monitored
  • In partnership with other members of the business Intelligence solutions team, produce easy to use/ interactive outputs i.e. infographics or dashboards to enable ongoing monitoring of the data

What we're looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science or Data Analysis;
  • A minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience in data manipulation and data analysis in a business and/or research environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the advanced use of statistical software such as SPSS or other programming software to extract, transform and manipulate data
  • Highly developed skills and experience in extracting, cleansing and analysing data from multiple sources
  • Advanced skills in the use of MS Excel (mandatory - pivot tables, advanced formulas),
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information and ideas in a manner a non-technical stakeholder can easily understand (includes written and verbal communication)
  • All Healthcare workers in Victoria are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and will need to provide evidence before commending employment with cohealth.
