About the role

This role will work in the context of family, domestic and sexual violence, including child sexual abuse.

The Primary Care Project Manager will develop, coordinate, and manage projects in and across the WVPHN region. The position will work with relevant internal WVPHN team members and external stakeholders. 

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of projects, including managing and driving program activities, budget, delivery, and evaluation. The Project Manager will be able to pick up and lead projects as part of a team of Project Managers and Project Officers within the Primary Care Project space, enhancing and supporting teams within the PHN where needs arise.


The Primary Care Project Manager will manage and lead primary care Project Officers and be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training as well as responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work.

Primarily working remotely from home, there will also be days required in the office e.g. for team meetings and all staff days. 

Duties

  • Undertake planning, analysis and implementation of project based on defined outcomes and outputs as specified in the funding agreement between the Department of Health and WVPHN.
  • Manage, be accountable for and monitor delivery of the successful development, implementation, and evaluation of projects within resourcing, timelines and budget parameters. Work collaboratively with other project team members to achieve project outcomes
  • Identify key stakeholders that have an interest in project outcomes, including key connections at national, state and local levels. 
  • Actively identify emerging pressures, issues, and risks, and initiate quality improvement and management strategies to address them.
  • Lead co-design activities with internal and external stakeholders consistent with the WVPHN Co-Design Framework.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in project management, health or related field, and/or demonstrated relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated high-level of analytical and problem-solving skills in a health or related setting, together with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Capacity to work both autonomously and in a team environment on a range of diverse issues to meet project or program quality requirements
  • Demonstrated excellent engagement and communication skills, including influencing, relationship management and the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships

Employment requirements:

  • Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence
  • A current Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Evidence of current COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Working rights in Australia (visa, permanent resident, citizen)
