Wildlife Health Australia (WHA) is the coordinating body for wildlife health in Australia, and initially began as a national initiative of the Australian Government in 2002 [1]. WHA operates a virtual office and offers the flexibility of remote working arrangements.
WHA works with a network of government and private stakeholders across Australia to develop strong partnerships in order to better manage the adverse effects of wildlife diseases on Australia’s animal health industries, human health, biodiversity, trade and tourism. WHA participates in surveillance, investigation, monitoring, research and recording of wildlife disease events. WHA helps protect Australia’s trade, human health, biodiversity and tourism.
WHA is seeking a motivated Communications Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis (22.8 hours per week) to develop and implement our communications strategy. As a proactive individual, you will lead communications activities for the organisation, working closely with the Marketing Coordinator, Senior Leadership Team and WHA Board. The role includes developing content for media releases, campaigns, website, newsletters and social media as well as varied stakeholder engagement. Salary for this position is $90,957 p/a pro rata (0.6 FTE ~ $54,574) plus 11.5% superannuation.
