Position Rationale

The Evaluation Coordinator is a new role focusing on supporting the development and implementation of an evaluation framework for multi-dimensional intake and integrated legal practices within particular projects as well as across the organisation. WCC has embarked on a new journey to integrate legal service into other programs areas connected to the organisation’s strategic priorities. This includes embedding a community lawyer within the youth, gender equity, multicultural and social justice teams. WCC would like to understand whether and how this way of working impacts on client outcomes and the organisation’s capacity to identify and respond to community needs within a holistic framework. The Evaluation Coordinator will also support the development of a learning and continuous quality improvement culture at WCC by building knowledge and capacity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-quality monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks and other evaluation initiatives to assess the effectiveness, quality and impact of WCC’s approach to integrated practice from intake to service delivery both internally and externally.
  • Work with relevant Leads to advise, develop, implement and support comprehensive monitoring and reporting frameworks, plans and tools to enable the effective monitoring and reporting of program/ service activities that align with the theory of change.
  • Lead and undertake qualitative, quantitative and statistical analysis of multiple data sources to answer key evaluation questions, demonstrate evidence of impact and drive improvements to service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of new or improved systems and processes that enable staff to easily access data and insights about the impact and effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Facilitate reflection, analysis and learning on evidence and evaluation to inform the improvement of programs and services.
