WHOS Gunyah is looking for a fulltime AOD Community Services Worker to join our men’s program, Gunyah, based at Lilyfield NSW.

The role involves:

  1. assessment, referral, and education,
  2. supervising and supporting clients in a residential setting,
  3. delivering a structured daily program (which includes facilitating various process and groups),
  4. conducting therapeutic interventions

Key selection criteria

To be considered applicants must respond to the selection criteria below.

  1. Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health, or similar.
  2. Available to work rotating day, evening and weekend shifts as required.
  3. Ability to facilitate groups.
  4. Experience in or knowledge of residential treatment services.
  5. Experience in working with clients that have AOD and associated conditions.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation strategies.

Remuneration:

  • Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHADSI Award Level 4.
  • Salary packaging is available.
