Wingate Avenue Community Centre is looking for a casual Receptionist and Administration Officer for term one, to provide a friendly and welcoming reception area to all visitors to the Centre, as well provide administrative support. As one of the first contact points at the centre, this role is a key contact point for community members looking to join in Centre services, programs, events and activities, so strong interpersonal communication skills are required. Delivery of centre services will be guided by the centre’s core values of compassion, inclusiveness, diversity and quality.

Position Goal

The Receptionist and Administration Officer will provide a values-based approach to reception duties, as well as quality administration support for centre services, programs, events and activities. The Receptionist and Administration Officer will:

  • Provide excellent reception, administration and engagement skills to provide support to the centre and general public. 
  • Provide reception and administration support services in accordance with the centre’s mission and values.
  • Deliver services in accordance with the centre’s aims and objectives, as described in the Strategic Plan. 

Duties and responsibilities of the role includes:

  • Customer service
  • Centre administration
  • Taking payments for courses, activities, and childcare

Benefits
