WIRES Program Coordinator roles is focused on assisting with the development and implementation of new and existing programs, campaigns and projects, increasing engagement with key stakeholders, and developing long-term relationships to facilitate the growth of the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the development and launch of new programs, campaigns and projects
  • Manage the ongoing coordination of key programs and projects, to meet key deadlines on time and on budget
  • Oversee regular communication and engagement with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Work with the broader team to expand existing programs to assist higher numbers of wildlife & to provide prompt emergency support during disasters

YOUR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, communications or the environment (desirable)
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of basic financial reports and experience working to a budget
  • Highly organised, reliable, efficient & detail orientated with excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude & ability to work in a team and manage a wide range of stakeholders
  • Committed to prompt, high quality customer service, and willing to make regular phone calls to stakeholders

WIRES is Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation, rescuing and caring for sick, injured and orphaned native animals for over 35 years. WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same.

WIRES operate a dedicated Wildlife Rescue Office assisting wildlife and the community across Australia 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, providing rescue advice and assistance for over 140,000 animals annually, as well as provide full-time mobile Wildlife Emergency Responders operating across Greater Sydney, South-East Queensland and Tasmania.

WIRES has actively been providing significant national support for hundreds of projects to assist with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation across Australia while also working nationally with major partners to support the long-term recovery of wildlife habitat and the long-term preservation of native species in the wild.

ROLE DETAILS

The roles will initially be 12 month full time contract, with the potential for extension.
