About the program

Wesley Dalmar supports in excess of 700 children and young people in care, as well as their birth families and foster carers. We offer permanent, temporary, and respite care as well as a variety of supports to help children reach their potential and achieve permanency in their families.

About the role

This role will ensure that the placement and support of children in our care proceeds in alignment with our ethos and Family and Community Services priorities. The role will lead our diverse case management team in Gosford and work in partnership with our other services across the Hunter-Central Coast region to achieve the case plans for children and young people.

Essential criteria

  • a degree qualification from a recognised tertiary institution in Psychology / Social Work / Social Science or related discipline
  • minimum five years experience in Out-of-Home Care
  • knowledge of NSW Child Safe Standards for permanent care
  • minimum two years experience in leadership
  • ability to develop professional partnerships and networking skills
  • proven ability to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements
  • strong organisational processes and procedures
  • demonstrated high-level communication (written and verbal), negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • sound record keeping, data collection and management, report writing and computer skills including an ability to concisely and accurately record all key interactions
  • current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • willingness to affirm Wesley Mission’s vision, mission and values.

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (Level 7) with generous salary packaging available and a fully maintained vehicle.
