About the opportunity

As the Asset and Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance, safety, and functionality of commercial properties managed by Uniting Vic Tas.

In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring that cyclical maintenance is proactively undertaken to confirm safety, environmental, and building compliance.

You will also act as a subject matter expert on building and facilities management, including partnering with site and service delivery managers to ensure that all properties are managed from a facilities perspective.

About you

You are looking to join an organisation that truly supports vulnerable Victorians and Tasmanians to improve their lives.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in building construction, facilities management, trade, or project management would be well regarded but are not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of building systems, Australian standards, maintenance requirements, and WHS regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a property, facilities, building and construction role or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Victorian building codes and regulations and WHS legislation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to connect with internal and external stakeholders, build excellent working relationships, and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and contract management.
  • Demonstrated staff management experience
