About the role

You will work closely with our Kindergarten Teacher to ensure that all children and families attending the service are provided with a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment.

You will also support other Early Years educators within the service to ensure that practices and processes align with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and Acts, National Quality frameworks, and Uniting policies.

About the teams

Our Alfredton kindergarten is situated on a tranquil street west of the Ballarat CBD, and our recently renovated Enid Rogers kindergarten is located near Lake Wendouree.

Both services offer a mixed 3-4 year-old sessional kindergarten program that provides inclusive and creative programs aimed at nurturing children's strengths, interests, and social connections.

What’s on offer

It’s a part-time, maximum-term role involving 38 hours per fortnight to January 2025. You will need to be available for sessions that run from 8:30 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. In addition to receiving VECTEA pay rates, and superannuation, you’ll receive 17.5% leave loading and school holidays off.

You can increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits, which can be used for rent, mortgage repayments, or living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and much more.

About you

For this role, you will bring:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority.
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality frameworks and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of early childhood development and education.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks and National Quality Framework.
