About the opportunity

Working in a full-time capacity, this newly created role will provide strategic and people leadership for headspace Horsham across both the clinical and non-clinical services.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Lead the headspace Horsham team – clinical and non-clinical – in the delivery of quality services for young people that promote positive mental health and wellbeing and meet the needs of the community.
  • Lead, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the headspace model ensuring integrated service delivery to young people, their family / carers and friends.
  • Management of the headspace Horsham funding agreements, contracts and deliverables including the budget and compliance with performance and reporting requirements
  • Promotion of a learning and reflective environment where staff are supported to provide services that are informed by current evidence-based practice

About headspace Horsham

headspace Horsham provides early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12 to 25 across the Wimmera with an awareness of the importance of providing of a positive experience in what may be their first connection with a mental health service.

Uniting Vic Tas is the lead agency for headspace Horsham and provides the infrastructure and corporate and clinical governance.

What’s on offer

In addition to a base salary commencing at $58.23 p/hr + superannuation, you will have access to:

About you

You will have an approved tertiary qualification in allied health or equivalent relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of the associated professional body A Post graduate qualification in management, leadership or acute mental health is desirable.

You will also bring:

  • Management experience in youth mental health or youth services administration
  • Experience as a mental health clinician and knowledge of youth mental health and wellbeing issues in a community setting
  • Experience of clinical governance frameworks and practice, including quality improvement, risk management and compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects including managing stakeholders, preparing project plans, monitoring performance, and ensuring objectives are met.
