About the opportunity

As the Mental Health Wellbeing Worker, you will provide an outcome-focused, time-limited mental health recovery modelled service delivery. Through individual program planning, you will support consumer’s lifestyle choices and assist in developing skills and strategies to manage their mental health, access community resources, enhance their everyday living skills, and to achieve their mental health and wellbeing goals.

The role extends support across all Mental Health programs, catering to diverse age groups based on individual program requirements.

About you

You are looking to join an organisation that truly supports vulnerable Victorians and Tasmanians to improve their lives.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree level qualification in Social Work, OT, Counselling, Nursing, Psychology, or equivalent (desirable)
  • A certificate IV in Mental Health and/or Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Peer work, Community Services, Youth Work or equivalent
  • Sound discipline knowledge, including the underlying principles of mental health recovery support, gained through experience, education and/or training.
  • Knowledge of the statutory requirements related to community mental health support services.
  • Experience working with people with mental health and/or Alcohol and other Drug issues.
  • Demonstrated experience/demonstrated ability working with Youth (preferred).
