Uniting Vic.Tas together with our partners: Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-operative (GEGAC) are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Traralgon Youth AOD Residential Rehabilitation program.
Working in a part-time capacity as Nurse Practitioner, you will actively support the clients to achieve alcohol and drug withdrawal, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse (RN) and Youth Alcohol and Drug Support Workers on shift. You will follow the client through from the referral, attend clinical review and provide clinical expertise surrounding a safe admission, as well as liaising with the intake worker for a smooth transition into residential withdrawal, followed by residential rehabilitation.
The role will also be responsible for writing scripts for the young people and documenting this in the provided medication charts. The role will also provide mentorship and leadership to other RN/Enrolled Nurses that are within the program.

In addition to receiving an hourly rate of $67.76 + superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits. There is also an option for additional purchased leave to increase your annual leave entitlements.
