About the opportunity

The Playgroup Facilitator will work with our Emergency Recovery Program and will be part of a team that will support the delivery of trauma-informed playgroups for families and young children in bushfire affected areas and will support with addressing gaps in psychosocial support.

About you

To be successful in this role you will hold a Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority) or equivalent qualification & experience. You will also have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of child development and play-based learning
  • Previous professional experience working with disadvantaged families and diversity
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a trauma-informed practice model
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates*
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence

Your knowledge and understanding of Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework including the Practice Principles and Learning Outcomes and Early Childhood Learning and Development stages will enable provision of high quality support in a learning environment.
