About the opportunity

We have outstanding opportunities for passionate and experienced people to work with a highly reputable and iconic community services organisation. The Senior Care Manager reports to the Manager Carer Support, and provides supervision for team members, coordinates intake and allocation and undertakes case management.

This positions supports and maintains care relationships between carers and consumers, through providing good quality respite care for frail, older clients aged 65 years and over (or 50 years and over for aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people), so that regular carers can take a break from their caring responsibilities. Respite care is provided through the following programmes.

About you

We're looking for motivated people who have a genuine interest in and commitment to working with vulnerable people in our community. You will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services or equivalent (desirable) and experience working as a leader in an aged care setting. Empathy, resilience, outstanding personal qualities and a preference for working within a collaborative team environment are qualities that will succeed in the role.
