About the role

Are you a skilled and Bachelor qualified teacher looking for a part time role that combines operational leadership and rostered time teaching?

Our kindergarten located in Geelong offers a creative program for 3 to 4 year-olds and operates 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

You lead and support our team focused on nurturing children’s strengths, interests and social connections as well as teaching values that reflect our small local community - kindness, resilience and teamwork.

What’s on offer.

Join our small friendly team supporting the local community! It’s a part time role for 12 months, working part days Monday to Thursday - 54 hours per fortnight.

Regular meetings with peers to share ideas, learn from one another, hear about operational updates, professional development and lean on a support network when required.

In addition to receiving a salary and superannuation, you’ll receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increaseyourtake-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

We also offer a 60% staff discount on childcare through Uniting and there is the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program.

About you

For this role you will have:

  • Bachelor in Early Childhood Education as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority.
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality frameworks and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of early childhood development and education.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks and National Quality Framework.
