WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the Work Health and Safety Commissioner. WorkSafe ACT achieves its objectives through a combination of compliance and enforcement, awareness raising, education, inspection, and investigation.
WorkSafe ACT has an exciting temporary vacancy in our Vulnerable Workers team for a dynamic and passionate professional to fill the role of Senior Education Officer. This role involves promoting Work Health and Safety through educational activities, with a special focus on vulnerable workers in the Canberra region.
The ideal candidate will have experience in interpreting legislation to develop and implement effective strategies and programs. This position offers a varied work environment where you might work independently one day and collaborate with a team of inspectors or stakeholders the next.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
