Senior Engagement Advisor

The position

This role is responsible for designing and facilitating exceptional key supporter experiences and donor interaction opportunities in accordance with World Visions Australia's High Net Worth stewardship strategy.

The role is instrumental in ensuring our High value donors engage deeply in World Vision’s work and enable us to support our mission to create meaningful change for the world’s most vulnerable children and adults.

As support for the National Head of Engagement, you will be responsible for developing communications touch points and content creation as well as managing Marketing operations between the Marketing and Private Funding teams. This role has a strategic function in addition to administrative support and you’ll scope out, plan and deliver on the Engagement and Stewardship strategy, including implementation, planning of concept through to execution and complete end to end delivery of the stewardship and donor journey.

In addition to this you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivery of key content including development and production of videos, livestream events, stories for newsletters, virtual field trips and podcasts.
  • Management of Production workflow between Private Funding Team and Marketing Team
  • Writing and execution of invitations and speakers notes and run sheets
  • Assisting with administration, logistics and other activities in the lead up to and at physical and livestream events
  • Detailed management of field trips in collaboration with the Philanthropy team and the Field trips and visits team to build exceptional field trip experiences
  • Working with field to ensure that each conversation in community is crafted to deliver a key set of messages that enables the donor to get closer to the work and helps them to understand the impact they are making.

Who we’re looking for

As the successful applicant, you will have a breadth of capabilities including enthusiasm, creativity and outstanding interpersonal skills.

In addition to this:

  • Excellent scriptwriting and video editing capabilities (conceptual)
  • High level research skill
  • Experience as a senior producer, events manager
  • Demonstrated ability to organise, schedule and plan, and to meet rigid and conflicting demands and deadlines, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Managing multiple projects to tight timelines
  • Experience working in a fast paced but highly collaborative team environment
  • High level stakeholder engagement
  • Understanding of donor engagement cycles, donor management and fundraising within a not for profit environment will be an advantage
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience
  • Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, to accommodate and work well with different working styles and to work independently where required
  • Proven computer literacy skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Bachelor level degree in Business Administration, Event Management or Communications, Journalism

This role is a permanent contract operating in a part-time capacity (30 hours/week) and will be based at our state office in Sydney, NSW.
