ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Principal at Wulungarra Community School, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping children's educational journeys in the Kadjina Community. This full-time position offers the opportunity to significantly impact a dynamic and supportive community environment and your role includes:
- Providing strong and visionary leadership to the school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programs aligned with the community's needs and values
- Overseeing the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, policies, and strategic plans
- Fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture that empowers both staff and students and maintains a safe learning space
- Managing and develop the school's teaching and support staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
- Engaging with the local community, including parents, Elders, and stakeholders, to build strong partnerships and support student outcomes
- Ensuring the school's compliance with relevant educational regulations and standards
- Managing the school's resources and budget effectively to support the delivery of educational programs
ABOUT YOU
You must have leadership experience in remote schools and have the appropriate qualifications as the school is looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Extensive experience in educational leadership, preferably as a School Principal or in a similar senior leadership role
- Proven track record of driving positive change and improving educational outcomes for students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Deep understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by remote Indigenous students
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Relevant qualification in education, including a full WA Teacher Registration
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
