The Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (Wurundjeri Corporation) is a Registered Aboriginal Party appointed under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. The Corporation holds statutory responsibilities for the protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage objects and places in Victoria. Additional functions of the corporation include, environmental land management, cross-cultural education, traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremonies, and cultural consultations.

Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Education Bookings Coordinator to join our team in Abbotsford on a full-time basis. The role will be responsible for providing high quality support to the Education Managers, helping to coordinate the education and cultural training event bookings. The role will require someone with excellent customer service and administrative skills to ensure the smooth delivery of the education bookings.

You will possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills as well as being highly customer focused and able to provide a high level of administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the bookings for the Education Managers, ensuring that they are informed of all upcoming education bookings and the requirements of each event in a timely manner.
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of all events, this includes: booking, planning, coordinating, delivering, evaluating and reporting on the outcomes.
  • Liaise with the Education managers to ensure that any education bookings run within specified time constraints.
  • Be the first point of contact for client enquiries for education bookings, helping to provide information to clients about our services, coordinating and scheduling bookings as required.
  • Identify the client’s requirements and expectations for each event, liaise with internal and external stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
  • To work alongside and support our team of experienced educators.
  • Other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Role Competencies

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and time management skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Computer literacy including experience working with Excel and Word.
  • Critical thinking and solutions focused.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Role Competencies

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will be highly regarded.
  • Prior experience using CRM or a bookings system will be highly regarded.
