About the Role

Join YAC as an Administration Assistant, providing essential support to our Youth Support Program Coordinators to ensure the effective delivery of our services. In addition to a variety of administrative tasks (including intake calls), you will manage our reception area, handling phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to general email inquiries. Each day brings new challenges!

About You

You are an administration expert who has built a career in this field and thrives on the structure and variety it offers. You take pride in your work, are highly organised, and enjoy being part of a supportive team.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in reception and high-level administration support
  • Certificate II or III in Business Administration (desirable, but not essential)
  • Valid “C” Class Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to obtain a positive QLD Working with Children Check (“Blue Card”)
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Skills and Attributes

  • Proficiency in reception and office administration systems
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to assist those in distress
  • Proactive in identifying and suggesting improvements to processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Commitment to social justice and human rights principles, particularly regarding children and young people
