The Warbangali Allied Health Program, operating on Darkinjung Country (Central Coast, NSW), is a community-driven initiative under Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Services. Specialising in culturally safe, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, the program provides comprehensive support through occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, social work, and behaviour support. Warbangali is dedicated to empowering individuals across all life stages, from paediatrics to elders, with services ranging from therapy and family support to advocacy and educational resources.

As a collaborative team of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff, Warbangali supervises allied health assistants to deliver targeted interventions, building capacity within the community. Our vision is to inspire strong, healthy, and long lives by addressing the diverse needs of the Aboriginal community with excellence, innovation, and integrity.

We are inviting Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Psychologists to join our dedicated Allied Health team. If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact and working in a supportive and innovative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

About The Role:

Employment Type: Full-time or part-time

Role Focus: Primarily NDIS clients with allocation allotment to explore specialised areas of interest, and service needs including (but not limited to:

    • Out-of-home care
    • Family preservation
    • Adult mental health
    • Alcohol and other drugs
    • Aged care
    • Chronic disease management

Primary Duties:

The duties you will be involved with are as follows:

  • Therapy assessment, consultation and treatment to community members
  • Consult and provide therapy education to families, stakeholders, and/or carers
  • Conduct post-assessment caregiver meetings and carer consultations
  • Complete, review and maintain therapy treatment plans
  • Complete, score, review and maintain therapy goals
  • Complete ongoing progress reports including NDIS within the required time frame.

  • Negotiable wage, pending experience and training, from $75,000 to $95,000 + super + CPD package

    • Maximise take-home pay with a $15,900 salary-sacrificing option
  • Staff Development and Team Bonding
    • Two-day staff development camp with cultural immersion activities.
    • Two team bonding days held biannually.

    • Three additional leave days over the Christmas period

  • Additionally, as an employee of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), there is eligibility to apply for a scholarship of up to $10,000 per year, provided for up to two years study (which ever runs out first), to attain a postgraduate qualification of either a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, Masters or PhD. – This is not included in the overall employment package, but an opportunity stemming from employment.
