Logan Advance to Zero is an initiative to end homelessness and rough sleeping in the Logan region.

The Community Lead position is a place-based leadership role that engages Logan stakeholders to work towards ending homelessness and advocating for the change that is needed to fill service gaps.

You will lead the development of a multi-organisational project working closely with Logan stakeholders, the Logan Zero Data Lead, Brisbane Zero partners led by Micah Projects, and the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness.

YFS is the host employer for the Logan Zero Community Lead position.

This is a full-time opportunity but can be flexible for the right applicant.

  • Role location: Slacks Creek
  • Role type: Full time, permanent
  • Pay range: $94,160 - $98,422 a year with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

We are looking for a committed leader who is passionate about ending homelessness and who has project management, planning, negotiation and advocacy skills. This role is mix of hands on and strategic work.

The role works collaboratively with other Logan agency colleagues to produce quality data through the VI-SPADT and the A-to-Z Database to track progress in successfully housing people. You will lead advocacy and drive improvements to the service system.

About you

  • Previous experience in a place-based initiative
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading a project and building rapport with other stakeholders
  • A sound understanding of social justice, housing first principles and capacity to undertake advocacy
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and implement action planning and continuous improvement principles.
