Are you keen to be part of a passionate and professional team working together using evidence-based models to change lives?
YFS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical therapist looking to take the next step in their career. Come join our team as a Family Practitioner and keep families together and prevent children entering Out of Home Care.
You will be part of an experienced team of passionate therapists who are implementing Queensland’s Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) program. The program is facilitated by experienced and suitably qualified therapists who help identify strengths and challenges within the family behaviours. You’ll be working with the families and children in their homes helping them to understand their strengths and teaching them new skills to develop effective strategies for change within the family system.
As well as having clinical experience, the person for this role will need to be flexible, engaging and have a high level of emotional intelligence along with good communication skills and the ability to rapidly build relationships and rapport with families, children and young people.
There’s no doubt this is a challenging role: it will also be an opportunity to develop your clinical skills with lots of support, clinical reflection and training, working with a supportive team.
If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related position description available from www.yfs.org.au/about/jobs-yfs, ideally you will bring the following: a client focus, emotional intelligence, resilience, flexibility, inclusiveness, a collaborative spirit, creativity, innovation and cultural awareness.
At YFS, we make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people living in the Logan and surrounding area. And we want our staff to thrive, too. So, we offer great opportunities to develop your career.
We’re serious about your professional development. Half of our managers have been employed from within. And we empower each other to make decisions and try new ways of working.
We know that a happy workplace thrives. We recognise that staff have their own needs, so we encourage you to bring the entire you to work. Depending on your role, we support a number of flexible work arrangements.
Also, we offer great employment benefits including above-average pay rates, generous salary packaging (exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax) and counselling support.
