We’re looking for a Marketing and Communication Coordinator to join YFS—a dynamic role supporting the development and implementation of YFS’s marketing strategies with a focus on social media, content creation, and digital communication. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in enhancing YFS's brand presence and connecting with diverse audiences across Logan and beyond.

This is a part-time four day a week opportunity, but we’re open to flexibility for the right applicant.

About the job

  • Role location: Slacks Creek
  • Role type: Permanent, Part Time position
  • Pay range: $106,730 to $111,448 a year (pro rata for part time hours) based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe
  • Benefits Tax available

We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Marketing and Communication Coordinator to develop engaging content, manage social media, support marketing campaigns, and drive audience engagement across digital and print platforms. This role is integral in sharing YFS’s impactful work and fostering community support for our mission.

In this role you will provide:

  • Content Creation and Copywriting: Craft engaging content for YFS’s social media, website, newsletters, and campaigns. Develop copy for client stories, B2B materials, media releases, and advocacy letters to ensure alignment with YFS’s brand voice and audience needs.
  • Social Media and Digital Marketing: Manage YFS’s social media presence, including content planning, audience engagement, and response management, while contributing to digital strategies to boost brand awareness.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyse digital marketing metrics, including social media engagement and SEO performance, to make data-driven recommendations that enhance YFS’s digital impact.
  • Marketing Coordination: Support supplier relationships, inventory management, and event coordination needs. Maintain marketing assets and assist with managing the marketing inbox and other promotional activities.

About you

Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from https://www.yfs.org.au/work-for-us/, ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Social Media Expertise: Proven experience in social media management, including best practices for audience growth and engagement. Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Loomly) is a plus.
  • Strong Copywriting & Editing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt style for diverse audiences across platforms.
  • Digital Content Creation: Knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress), basic design tools (e.g., Canva), and SEO principles.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to interpret social media metrics and analytics to inform and improve strategy.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organisational skills and experience managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
