Program Manager - Immediate Housing Response

We are looking for a Program Manager to play a key role in leading the immediate housing response program for families, couples and individuals who are experiencing homelessness.

If you’re an experienced manager with strong leadership and communication skills, and are flexible and quick to adapt to change, this could be the role for you.

About the job

  • Role location: Slacks Creek
  • Role type: Permanent full-time position
  • Pay range: $115,433 a year with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of housing specialists
  • identify and respond flexibly to the changing needs of clients and the changing face of homelessness in Logan
  • identify ways to solve problems in a timely manner, improve service delivery and achieve better outcomes for clients
  • recommend and implement changes to work practice and procedures in line with changes in external requirements
  • assess and mitigate risk associated with service delivery in a homelessness context
  • help to develop the capacity of the team in quality service delivery
  • lead the management of staff and a positive workplace culture.

About you

  • have extensive knowledge and experience in in the homelessness and housing sectors
  • understand the causes, impacts and cultural aspects of homelessness
  • can work with a sense of urgency and are quick to adapt to change
  • have great interpersonal skills and can manage, develop and support staff
  • are a strong communicator with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people within and outside the organisation
  • are confident in undertaking service planning and making recommendations regarding improvements to service delivery.
