Health & Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer - The Parks

THE ROLE

The YMCA Parks Recreation and Sports Centre are seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated instructor to work within our Health and Fitness areas.

As a Health and Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer, reporting to the Health and Fitness Director, you will:

  • Possess a genuine desire to encourage and support health club members to achieve their health and fitness goals
  • Motivate, educate and enhance the health and fitness experience for members
  • Have the opportunity to deliver Personal Training sessions under your employment contract and get paid an hourly rate by the Y, that’s right – no cash handling between you and your clients and no rent!
  • Take pride in the presentation of your area, including cleaning and workplace health and safety activities
  • Be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends in a casual capacity

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
  • Current HLTAID001 Provide CPR

Additional qualifications or experience in the following area will be highly regarded:

  • Strength for Life
