About the Role

This role reports to the manager Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable and supports the finance team. Will be expected to work within a team to ensure deadlines are reached, targets met, provide support and strive to inspire each other.

Coordinate and perform the day-to-day debt collections function, generation of invoices and credit notes, NDIS claims and maintain
payment records throughout Yooralla systems.

Key Responsibilities

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain debtor accounts and liaise with financial administrators if required
  • Work within billing and CRM system to produce invoices, credit notes, claims and statements in a timely manner. Process refunds if required.
  • Process NDIS claims via NDIS portal.
  • Perform day to day debt collection function.
  • Escalate to operational staff and managers, those customer accounts that exceed payment terms and maintain collections feedback.
  • Respond to customer queries, investigate and resolve issues.
  • Follow up on NDIS manual claims with plan manager or customer.
  • Reconcile payments received from customers in a timely manner.
  • Process charges or claims against relevant government funding bodies and ensure our invoices or submissions comply with relevant guidelines.
  • Process end of period billing and accruals.
  • Active team involvement in team events, projects, meetings and networking
  • Mandatory operational site visits if required
  • Assist Manager Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable to maintain systems used by accounts receivable team which includes improving and streamlining processes.
  • Other duties as required by manager and / or broader financial management.

    meeting and exceeding the NDIS Practice Standards and

  • Meeting obligations under all relevant Victorian and Commonwealth legislation;
  • Working in accordance with the Yooralla Code of Conduct and Employee Manual.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current National Police Record Check
  • International Police Check (if required)
  • Current driver's licence to drive in Australia

Professional Experience

  • Accounting qualification (or studying towards) will be an advantage
  • Previous debt collection experience
  • Competent administrative, invoicing skills and experience
  • Preliminary accounting processes and practices knowledge
  • Previous operating experience with accounting and CMS systems
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
