The Billing Officer role supports the review, coordination and optimisation of billing to all NDIS and non-NDIS funded clients.

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth and timely administration of service agreements and billing, including process improvements where possible.

Key Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for:

  • Promoting and protecting the human rights of people with disability, in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) (2008);
  • Working to ensure high-quality and safe supports and services for NDIS participants,
    meeting and exceeding the NDIS Practice Standards and
    Quality Indicators.
  • Meeting obligations under all relevant Victorian and Commonwealth legislation.
  • Working in accordance with the Yooralla Code of Conduct and Employee Manual.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct billing activities using Salesforce to ensure accurate and timely quoting and billing of services delivered
  • Contribute to regular reporting requirements to show the state of billing activities against services delivered
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of systems, policies and procedures to enable efficient and effective billing of services provided
  • Monitor client data across multiple systems
  • Maintain and update service agreements in line with NDIA and organisational requirements
  • Establish and refine efficient processes to create, update and monitor client agreements
  • Respond to internal and external queries regarding NDIS agreements, billing and administration in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide leave cover for other billing officers as required
  • Actively participate in team meetings and other forums as required
  • Work with the team to ensure priorities in all the areas are met
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required

Selection Criteria

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current National Police Record Check
  • International Police Check (if required)
  • Current driver's licence to drive in Australia

Professional Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in using relevant databases/systems like Salesforce
  • Demonstrated experience with high volume transactions
  • Proven record working within the NDIS funding model and/or not for profit organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and Teams

Personal Skills and Attributes

  • Highly developed administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise key tasks under strict time frames
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, written and verbal skills with experience in responding to a range of enquiries in a complex work environment.
